A couple of years ago I began a weekly blog called Look.Cover.Draw.Check. The idea was based on a commonly used method in schools for teaching spelling known as "look, cover, write, check". Friends and fans would submit photographs of all sorts of fun and weird things, my task was to study the image, draw it from memory and finally post the orginal image and the drawing together on the blog. For a while I was simply too busy to fit in the blog on top of my internship, illustration work and day job so had to abandon the project but I am happy to announce it's BACK! Every Friday a new illustration will be submitted so keep checking back. And of course if you want to submit an illustration, please email billymatherillustration@gmail.com with the subject "Look Cover Draw Check". Can't wait to see your submissions!
